What's a child's best friend? The hot dog, of course. Come to think of it, dad and the neighbours are pretty fond of it, too! Simple and delicious, it's prepared here with a garlic butter mixture for that little "something" that makes all the difference. Don't be surprised if this hot dog becomes a classic in your neighbourhood.
Preparation
- Open the hot dog buns and flatten them with a rolling pin.
- Combine the butter with the garlic powder and onion powder and spread the mixture on the outer side of each bun.
- Make a cut along the length of each sausage, taking care not to slice them in two. Open them enough to lay them flat.
- In a large frying pan, heat a small amount of oil and brown the sausages for a few minutes on each side. Set aside.
- Put a bun in the pan with the buttered side down, add two slices of OKA cheese on top, add a sausage, and then garnish with green onion. Cover and cook over medium-low heat until the cheese melts. Close the hot dog with a spatula. Repeat the process for each bun.
